Local band East Island City released their self-titled debut EP yesterday to much acclaim. Within less than 24 hours of launch, their facebook page had over 300 ‘likes’ and positive comments were flooding in about their 3-track debut EP. As has almost become commonplace nowadays, the EP was released for free download on musicglue (see below for links). The songs were recorded in the superb Manor Park recording studios by Neal Calderwood and are extremely catchy and brilliantly produced. Definitely worth a listen.
Gigs are set to be announced soon, with one already pencilled in for November in The Button Factory so check out this brand spanking new local band as they aim to hit the ground running.
Finally, Goldenplec can exclusively reveal that the band will be recording a video with Beating Heart Productions for their first single, entitled ‘Envelopes’. Check back here soon as I have a funny feeling it could be Video of the Week in the foreseeable future.
