Between tour dates working as a guitar and keyboard tech for U2, Irish-born Australian raised Dunx has quietly crafted his own brand of six-string centric alternative rock showcased on last month’s debut single One of Us – a track steeped in Americana which puts Dunx’s confident guitar work on display.

Dunx has followed up the well-received single with a video directed by his brother Ross Stewart, who has previously worked on several projects for Sorcha Richardson. Dunx dons a lime green ’70s inspired suit and delivers a magnetic performance inspired by PJ Harvey’s This Is Love as he struts around Howth Head.

Dunx’s knack for live instrumentation and the mesmerising performance on display in One of Us makes makes a strong case for the newcomer as an exciting prospect for Irish rock – and one who will surely be a welcome edition to the live music circuit once the industry gets back on it’s feet.

Dunx recently spent a week at a songwriting camp led by Sorcha Richardson, writing with the likes of James Vincent McMorrow, Soda Blonde, Saint Sister, Pillow Queens and more so expect to hear more from him very, very soon.
