Dublin producer and multi-instrumentalist, Cabin has shared garage rock laden new single ‘Grind’. The ex-Brass Phantoms songwriter has delivered a shimmering track propelled by funky guitar riffs and melodic lead lines deep-fried in chorus. If you’re in the market for something in-between Otherkin and The Strokes then look no further.

Lyrically, Grind takes aim at the 9-5 routine and the culture of modern work. “This was a song born out of frustration and exhaustion from the insidious idea that respite is the enemy, that we all must constantly grind it out, just to stay afloat. The track is an expression of burning down that which burns you out.”

‘Grind’ is Cabin’s first new track since 2022’s ‘Your On My Mind (Alternative Version)’ and sees the Dubliner lean into his love of post-punk and power-pop, capturing the kind of blend that would make a barista very happy.
