This is the formal call for submissions for inclusion on Drop-d.ie’s second annual Cork Rock City compilation, to be released November 1st, 2011. Deadline for submissions is 9am on Monday October 17th @ 12pm.
Building on the success of last years Cork Rock City compilation, released in November. It returns this year looking for your music, your artwork, your photography and gig/promo videos so they can try put a proper blueprint on the Cork music scene right now.
MUSIC
All genres considered, from metal to electronica. Please send your best/favourite song/piece in .wav format ONLY. (NO covers can taken, unfortunately.)
VIDEO
Any promo vids or live vids you wish to submit for consideration can be passed on in .mp4 format (for iPods and the like).
ARTWORK
Off the success of our “alternate covers” concept last year, we’re also taking artistic submissions for cover art from Cork artists and photographers, based around Cork landmarks. All entries considered and the more original, the better. Please send in 1000×1000 .png format.
(Please note – this is a non-for-profit project, but feel free to create a flyer to advertise your services that will be bundled with the download.)
WRITING/POETRY
Any poetry of any genre, or writing/essays regards Cork arts or Cork music will be considered for inclusion.
