Drogheda’s modernlove. have shared new single ‘Ruin Your Night’ from their upcoming EP 3 (March 24th). The accompanying video features footage from their sold-out debut tour of the UK. The Indie pop group have been steadily moving more indie than pop in recent times and ‘Ruin Your Night’ continues that trend.

Modernlove. will embark on their first US tour in March, including dates in LA, NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia and SXSW before returning to the UK and Ireland for shows in support of EP3, including their biggest headline show to date at Lafayette on April 14th.

“Ruin Your Night explores those times we’ve all experienced in relationships where every night inevitably blows up into a huge fight and it seems futile to ever try going out and having fun together,” explains the band, speaking about the story behind ‘Ruin Your Night’.

“We all sometimes, fall victim to alcohol fuelled self-sabotage and this song attempts to capture both the fire and intensity of those nights and the quiet gentle melancholy of the mornings after. The song has a sort of sonic irony in that it’s a straight up indie dance banger about having an awful night out.”
