Bob Casale, one of the original members of Devo, has died. According to a post on the band’s Facebook page he died due to “conditions that lead to heart failure”.
His brother and fellow band member Gerald Casale wrote, “He was my level-headed brother, a solid performer and talented audio engineer, always giving more than he got. He was excited about the possibility of Mark Mothersbaugh allowing Devo to play shows again.”
Devo are best known for their 1980 hit Whip It.
