David Keenan has shared details of his upcoming second album “WHAT THEN?” set for release on October 15th, 2021.
“WHAT THEN? details my dealings with the human condition, an imagining and re-imagining of what was, what is and my place in it all. Expect all types of weather on the hopeful road towards clarity,” explains Keenan, of the record which was recorded in Black Mountain studios, near Keenan’s home town of Dundalk and produced by Jonathon Mooney of Portland, indie rock band Other Lives.
To celebrate the announcement of What Then? Keenan has shared new track Bark, which he describes as “an endorsement of irreverence, a wired psyche in flux, wildly howling itself to order” whichs picks up the story that started with the album’s lead-single ‘Peter O’Toole’s Drinking Stories’.
“WHAT THEN?” will be released by Rubyworks on Friday October 15th on limited edition yellow vinyl, CD and cassette. Merch bundles are available to pre-order at davidkeenan.com
