The Ebow Gallery is set to reopen next month with a visual feast for David Bowie fans.

The gallery will host ‘Bowie by Duffy’ a collection that chronicles the work of Irish photographer Brian Duffy with the Thin White Duke.

Duffy worked with Bowie from 1972 onwards and is famed for the cover art of several Bowie’s albums including ‘Aladdin Insane’ and ‘Lodger’. His photographs were also used as the basis for the drawing that appears on the cover of ‘Scary Monsters’.

Duffy, also shot Bowie during the making of the movie ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’ in New Mexico. The movie’s character was so important to Bowie that he subsequently penned a sequel to the movie, in the shape of the play ‘Lazarus’ before his death.

‘Bowie by Duffy’ in The Ebow Gallery, Castle St. Christchurch opens April 13th.
