Thievery Corporation are set to play their first Irish date in over 15 years this Sunday. The Washington dance duo of Rob Garza and Eric Hilton have released 10 albums drenched in world music influences such as dub and jazz since they formed in 1995.

Their extraordinary career has seen them headline Coachella and Lollapalooza and collaborated with the likes of David Byrne, Perry Farrell, Wayne Coyne (The Flaming Lips), Femi Kuti, and Seu Jorge to name but a few.

Thievery Corporation’s live show extends well beyond Rob Garza and Eric Hilton with double percussion, live bass, guitar and sitar and an array of guest vocalists. This will definitely be a night for fans of Trenchtown area of Electric Picnic.

And, if that wasn’t enough fiddletronic, grandma utiliser, Daithi, will be on hand to deliver his own variety of dance music.

Thievery Corporation play Vicar Street, Sunday July 7th. Tickets priced €45
