Mullingar act, Cronin have shared their first new music of 2021 in the form of a cover of the Cure’s cult-classic ‘A Forrest’. The cover was recorded following the end of Lockdown One, when the band finally got to join forces again in the studio after 3 months apart.

“This was one of the first songs we started jamming to get the juices flowing after not seeing each other for 3 months when the first lockdown was lifted last year. We wanted to get back to the feeling of being a young band playing some of our favorite songs in a garage.”

‘A Forest’ was recorded at Transmission Rooms, Drumlish, Co Longford by Mick Cronin. Mixed by Karl Odlum (The Frames, Glen Hansard) and Mastered by Richard Dowling at WAV Mastering, Limerick.

Cronin recently appeared on The Late Late Show special to raise money for The Simon Community alongside U2 and Glen Hansard and briefly appeared in Julien Temple’s Shane MacGowan documentary ‘A Crock of Gold’.

The group continue work on the follow-up to their criticality acclaimed debut ‘The First Kiss of Love’ with a new single set to be released in mid March.
