One year on from last year’s Cork Rock City compilation from the nice folk at Drop-D.ie which was a big success and thus putting two and two together it didn’t take much to realise that with Cork’s rather healthy musical state lately, there was going to need to be a second volume.
The compilation will be released on Tuesday November 1st at 10am available from Drop-D.ie. and it’s bandcamp too and will see the likes of acts like Hope Is Noise, [R]evolution of a Sun, new prospects like Slugbait, Fat Actress and some acts who have made some waves recently like Former Monarchs and Agitate The Gravel.
The release will be a completely free album and there will be a large number of extra’s including video, a guide to Cork music and festival and some interchangeable cover art. As with all good releases there is a launch gig in Crane Lane Theatre on Phoenix Street. The gig will be on November 4th at 9pm with live music from Former Monarchs, Slugbait and more to be confirmed with the Crane Lane DJs till the late hours.
