Cork risers Pebbledash who recently appeared on the soundtrack to Netflix’s House Of Guinness have shared their second EP ‘To Cast the Sea in Concrete’ ahead of their Irish/UK tour which kicks off tomorrow in Cyprus Avenue (full details below).

“The environment in which we recorded these songs – a secluded makeshift studio minutes outside the city, but still surrounded by green on all sides and within sight of the River Lee – ended up both informing and reflecting the conceptual through-line of the EP as a whole, emphasising the contrast and interaction between natural and urban, hard and soft, land and water.” explains Cormac Donovan O’Neill (synth/guitar) of the EP which was recorded by Cathal MacGabhann (Altered Hours) and mixed by Andy Killian (Pretty Happy).

“We were all familiar with Cathal’s fantastic recordings with other Cork bands, and we immersed ourselves in recording what we feel are our strongest tracks to date in the studio, where artists like The Altered Hours, Elaine Malone and O Emperor have made such wonderful bodies of work,” noting. “With this EP, we wanted to display to the fullest extent our development not just sonically but thematically, and present something that coheres as a whole, bringing the listener into its world from beginning to end.”
