Cork risers Pebbledash have previewed their upcoming EP ‘To Cast the Sea in Concrete’ (5th November) with release of new single ‘Tiles & Moss’ a murder balled with a post-punk twist, which arrives ahead of the band’s upcoming stint on The So Young Tour of the UK.

It was crcially important to the band to record the fan-favourite track perfectly so they enlisted Producer Aidan O’Mahoney with mastering duties falling to Pete Maher (U2, Nick Cave, Pixies),

“We’ve always felt it’s quintessential Pebbledash, exploring so many sides of what makes up our musical DNA” claims Pebbledash’s Cormac Donovan O’Neill. “Spending four days in the studio living with these tracks encouraged us to really dig into the potential of these arrangements’ textural elements; underpinning Tiles and Moss you can hear the low hum and wheeze of a charity shop-find harmonium breathing throughout, that acoustic voice meshing in with the synthesiser, as much evoking Neu and Cluster as it does the sonorous pipes of Paddy Keenan and Liam O’Flynn.”
