Following a well received 2020 debut with ‘No One Is Safe Here’, Cork’s Rowan have signed a deal with Los Angeles label Beverly Martel to release a follow up EP and a subsequent album.

Having secured the deal, Rowan adapted to the post-pandemic recording environment by bouncing voice notes back and forth – they even challenged themselves to write a song a day for three weeks.

“It was a bit of a speed writing period, where we gave ourselves deadlines and motivations, there were some great and some not so great songs written, but I think even in the not so great, there are gems of inspiration. We picked 20 of our favourite songs and put them in a playlist, then we cut it down to 10 and then 5,” says vocalist Dylan Howe.

Their first Beverly Martel backed project, the ‘Everybody Talks’ EP is set for a summer 2021 release – it’s currently being mastered by industry titans Greg Calbi & Steve Fallone, known for their work with acts such as Tame Impala and Arcade Fire.
