With this April marking the 20th anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain, Cork’s Nirvana fans are in for a treat. Alternative rock band Paradox have organised a series of gigs it celebrate the grunge star’s legacy.

The series kicks off on Friday 4 April with a show in Crane Lane Theatre, featuring support from Screenreader and Johnny Horne. The following night the celebration moves to DeBarra’s in Clonakilty, with support again from Screenreader. The series concludes with a final gig on Saturday 12 April in The Mariner in Bantry, with support once more from Screenreader.

All events are free admission.

Nirvana were no strangers to the rebel county, having kicked off their European Tour in Sir Henry’s in Cork on 20 August 1991.
