The patron saint of country music CMAT, has announced details of her debut album ‘If My Wife New I’d Be Dead’ which is set to be released on February 25th, 2022. The 12-track album features the singles I Wanna Be A Cowboy, I Don’t Really Care For You and 2 wrecked 2 Care, as well as new single No More Virgos which pokes fun at how unlucky in love CMAT is. Surprisingly the album does not include early singles Another Day (KFC) and Rodney.

No More Virgos combines CMAT’s “…love of 80’s Italo disco with my hatred of Virgos,” she explains, adding: “I’m the kind of girl who dates the same person over and over again. Specifically, every single one of my partners have been Virgos. I wanted to write a song that pokes fun at this aspect of my personality, and try to be a voice for all of my long-suffering friends. Musically, I really wanted to try and marry my love of 80’s Italo disco with my hatred of Virgos. I just can’t help myself from making terrible decisions sometimes! Sorry!”

The news of the album is accompanied by the announcement of a string of live dates throughout Ireland and the UK in 2022 including Cyprus Avenue, Dolan’s and the Limelight 2, Belfast. And if that wasn’t enough she’s also be heading to America for shows in LA, Nashville and New York. Full Details and tracklisting below.
