We’ve just been talking to Clerys and they have passed on some information that will be of interest to unsigned bands in Ireland who want to use Clerys as a platform to promote themselves.
First and foremost there is no money involved, Clerys are looking for bands who want to use them as a platform for exposure. All performances will be recorded and most of them will end up on the Clerys Facebook and Website. Each band who is chosen will play in the windows of Clerys and their music will be broadcast onto O’Connell Street. That’s a pretty unique opportunity if you consider the footflow at any given time on that street.
Bands must apply with sample of their track (links, not attachments) and all the band information by April 11th and will be chosen by Clerys based on the submitted material. Bands selected will be contacts on the week of April 18th about playing.
The performances will be promoted to all of clerys media contacts, Facebook fans and website visitors. Just contact niamh.waters@clerys.ie with the information we’ve told you to and you’ll be considered.
