Rising avant-pop and alternative artist Christian Cohle returns with a brand new look and sound; with jet blue-black hair and new-romantic tailoring, Cohle steps into art-rock and post-wave territory.
With new single Oh It Must Be Nice he draws on the confessional drama of Nick Cave, the romance of Bryan Ferry and the pulse of Future Islands.
‘I wrote Oh It Must Be Nice after a phone call with an old friend who had found a new partner. I was overcome with happiness for them, yet alongside that joy came a sense of forlorn loneliness for myself and a sharp clarity about where I was in my own life. The song is a confessional — I speak to my exhaustion, my frustrations with my career, my self-doubt, and my struggles with sex, addiction, and empty cul-de-sac intimacies.’
