“Bach: Sonatas and Partitas, Vol. 1”
That’s pretty much the title of the show. Chris Thile of Punch Brother is taking his virtuoso mandolin skills and playing his blend of music that tips through bluegrass, classical, rock and jazz along the way.
He was recently awards a MacArthur Fellowship which garnered him a grant of €500,000 to do as his genius dictates. The result is “Bach: Sonatas and Partitas, Vol. 1”
