The shortlist for this year’s RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year 2024, in association with IMRO & IRMA, was announced today on RTÉ 2FM’s Tracy Clifford Show. The list includes smash hit singles from Hozier (Too Sweet), Jordan Adetunji (Kehlani), Fontaines D.C. (Starburster) and Jazzy (Make Up).

Also nominated is Kabin Crew’s surprise hit single ‘The Spark’, alongside CMAT’s ‘Aw, Shoot’, Cork crooner Cian Ducrot’s ‘Here It is’ and Picture This’ ‘Act of Innocence’. The final two nominations go to Niamh Regan’s ‘Music’ and ‘Quiet’ from Chubby Cat.

The Song of The Year is decided by public vote. Full details and all nominated songs below.

Votes are limited to one per person per day. Only votes cast in the Republic of Ireland will be counted. Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 16th February.

The winning song will be announced by Tracy Clifford on 6th March on a special Song of the Year radio show on 2FM that afternoon ahead of the live event.
