On behalf of everyone involved with tonight’s Cheerios Childline concert at the The O2, we greatly appreciate the extra effort being made by fans & their parents in attending tonight’s charity concert.

While it is proving more difficult to travel due to the current weather the concert will take place as scheduled with doors opening at 18.30hrs.

This is a unique charity concert with all parties coming together to donate their services free of charge including artists, engineers and production staff, The O2, MCD & Ticketmaster in an effort to raise over €400,000 with your help by purchasing tickets, in aid of Childline.

Over the last 24hrs extensive efforts have been made by artists & their production crews to ensure they fulfill their obligations by not letting fans down and helping to raise much needed money for Childline.

Traveling by any means including public transport, air, road, ferry & rail artists and their crews have travelled from from as far away as the United States, central Europe and the UK to be here. Despite their flights being transferred to Cork and Shannon airports, artists/crews then traveled by road showing their determination to ensure tonight is a night to remember.

Childline is currently experiencing record levels of demand for its services. Over 800,000 calls will be received in 2010 and almost half of those calls will go unanswered due to lack of resources.

Yours sincerely,

Cheerios Childline Concert Team,
