Belfast post-punk/electronic risers Chalk have shared new single ‘Can’t Feel It’ and announced details of their biggest UK and Ireland headline tour to date. Spearheaded by award-winning musicians and filmmaker duo Ross Cullen and Benedict Goddard, Chalk have experienced a meteoric rise so far in 2025, with a sold-out UK and European headline tour in the spring followed by debut festival appearances at the likes of Glastonbury and Bilbao BBK to widespread acclaim.

“We wanted to write a dance track that celebrated the ups and downs of youth. It’s about a secret first kiss I had with a friend when I was younger, and reminiscing on the euphoria of that — but also the excitement of keeping something hidden from everyone around me, which in the end led to feelings of solitude and alienation,” explains Ross Cullen of the follow-up to 2025 single Pain, which is reminiscent of the darker moments of Depeche Mode.

“‘Can’t Feel It’ is a song about sensuality, yearning, and desire. I wanted to set this story in a medieval world of courtly love and rivalry, merging mythic imagery with modern elements like smartphones and earpods. The result is a music video that reflects the tension between repression and release, tradition and experimentation.”

Produced by Chris Ryan (NewDad, Enola Gay, Just Mustard) and Ross Cullen, mixed by Andrew Dawson (The Rolling Stones, Jay-Z, Tyler, The Creator), and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, Rihanna), Chalk’s ‘Can’t Feel It’ is out now via ALTER Music and available on all digital platforms.
