London-based, Waterford-born soul singer Carrie Baxter has announced details of her forthcoming second EP ‘What Now’ which is set for release on Friday 22nd October.

Carrie Baxter says: “‘What Now’ is different to my first EP ‘Placebo’ in many ways so I’m excited to see how it is received. It’s been challenging to pull this record together in the midst of the world opening back up but getting to tour these songs really has made my entire year. To meet and sing for people live is what I live for so it’s going to be a welcome change after essentially living my entire career so far in front of a computer screen!”

To celebrate the release of the ‘What Now’ EP, Baxter will play a show upstairs in Whelan’s, Dublin on October 27th and will also make an appearance in her hometown of Waterford, appearing as special guest to Choice Music Prize nominated rapper Nealo in The Theatre Royal on Sunday 24th of October as part of Imagine Arts Festival.

“Playing in my hometown is going to be special. It’s hard to put into words how much Waterford means to me and to do it at the Theatre Royal is a dream come true. I performed in my first musical there so it’s going to be nostalgic to say the least,” she says.

The first single from ‘What Now’ is an uplifting, hook-laden tune called ‘Something In The Water’ that will capture that end-of-summer mood perfectly upon its release on Friday 20th August. However , if you can’t wait that long Carrie Baxter has just dropped Lemonade a collaboration with superstar producer in the making EDBL. Tracks such as Love Me Better, Found Love and Pray have garnered Baxter over 2 million streams on Spotify. The release of ‘What Now’ and the subsequent UK tour should push that number up considerably.
