Hotly tipped post-punk, disco-funk act Squid have announced two Irish shows next March with dates in The Button Factory, Dublin and the Empire Ballroom, Belfast.
The quintet recently signed to Warp Records and released AA-side singles ‘Sludge’ and `Broadcaster’ both of which are available on 10” vinyl featuring an extended version of ‘Broadcaster’.
Formed in Brighton, Squid is the brainchild of Ollie Judge (Drums & Lead Vocals), Louis Borlase (Guitars & Vocals), Arthur Leadbetter (Keyboards, Strings), Laurie Nankivell (Bass & Brass) and Anton Pearson (Guitars & Vocals).
Last week, they released ‘Natural Resources’ with covers of Robert Wyatt’s’ ‘Pigs’ (In There) and Steve Reich’s ‘Clapping Music’ via Bandcamp, with all proceeds being donated to the food bank charity in Bristol.
