Personally I’m a big believer in fun charity events. I applaud those collecting on the streets but I love when people come together as one and give up so much free time and put in so much effort for a good cause and right now who needs more help then the currently under siege from mother nature people of Japan.
With money tight providing a night of fun in return for money is still my preferred method of not only giving money to charity but raising funds when I organise these events myself. So Boards.ie bands have come together under this moniker to host BoardStock.
They will be raising funds for the Japanese Red Cross to help the victims of the earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disasters. The event takes place on Saturday April 23rd and tickets are a mere €5 entry and doors open at 7.30pm.
So who will you see for your fiver? You can catch five great bands, Susie Soho, Hamlet Sweeney, Time Is A Thief, Nugget and finally Beastmen.
