Five-time Grammy winner and Blues Hall of Fame inductee Robert Cray is coming to Ireland for what promises to be a special show at The National Concert Hall this June.
Robert Cray first picked up the guitar after seeing The Beatles on TV and witnessing Jimi Hendrix perform in Seattle. A 50-year career unfurled from garage band beginnings to sharing stages with legends like B.B. King, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
19 albums and 5 Grammys later Cray has established himself as one of the most important artists in modern blues. His breakthrough 1986 album, Strong Persuader, saw him break into the MTV era, collaborations with icons such as Tina Turner, Chuck Berry, and John Lee Hooker followed as he crafted a distinctive sound marked by his soulful voice and stinging guitar work.
“All these years, we’ve been fortunate to do what we love,” he reflects. “I couldn’t ask for anything more.”
Robert Cray at The National Concert Hall for 9th June 2025. Tickets €55.00 are available from singularartists.ie on Friday 24th January at 10am.
