As promised back in October 2012, the members of Thin Lizzy, who were looking to produce new material, but felt it wasn’t right to release under the name Thin Lizzy without Philo, have formed a brand new band and have a new album on the way too.
Ricky Warwick, Scott Gorham, Damon Johnson, Marco Mendoza, Jimmy DeGrasso make up Black Star Riders and will have a debut album (if you can call it that) in May. They will then be hitting the road playing a blend of the album and Thin Lizzy hits, making it to Dublin to play The Academy on December 14th 2013. Tickets for the show are €25 inclusive of booking fee and go on sale Thursday 2nd May at 9am.
They also play Sunday 15th December in The Limelight, Belfast.
Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.ie and outlets nationwide.
UPDATE: Support will come from THE DEAD DAISIES AND WESTERN SAND
