Following the announcement last week that Hot Chip are set to headline next summer’s Beyond the Pale festival, organisers have announced that first proper round of artists for the Wicklow  event in Glendalough Estate taking place between 16th – 18th June 2023.

The 12 additions feature three acts who will be playing their debut Irish shows as well as some well-known Irish names. Sweden’s LITTLE DRAGON will be performing in Ireland for their first time in over five years. British triphop pioneers MORCHEEBA will be performing what will be only their second show in Ireland in the last decade, as will German electronic maestros BOOKA SHADE.

Emily Spragg’s Brooklyn indie folk band FLORIST will  be making their first appearance in Ireland, as will JAN BLOMQVIST and Canada’s MARIE DAVIDSON, while MAX COOPER will also excite fans of electronic music with his expansive live audio visual show.

Following their impact in the US including a performance on the James Corden show, Dublin’s PILLOW QUEENS will play Beyond the Pale 2023 – their upcoming Irish tour kicks off with two sold-out shows at Vicar Street this weekend.

Also coming off the back of a well-received new albums is the unique blend of trad and live electronics of County Clare native DAITHÍ, who will be performing a new live show with full band and Dundalk guitar experimentalists JUST MUSTARD.

Rounding off the not-so-dirty dozen being announced for Beyond the Pale 2023 today are fun-time Australian DJ duo FLEETMAC WOOD and one of Ireland’s moist exciting new acts BRICK NASTY whose brilliant songs blend the best bits of jazz, soul, hiphop and much else.

Beyond The Pale are set to announce two more headliners and over 100 more acts in the coming months.
