Bell X1 have announced collaborative shows with Dowry Strings and the Theodora Byrne Ensemble this December in Dublin and Cork. Bell X1 and Dowry Strings will perform for 3 nights Live in St. Luke’s, Cork before a brace of performances in The Helix Dublin with the Theodora Byrne Ensemble.
“We are excited to announce a series of shows in Dublin and Cork that are born out of our favourite collaborative moments of the past few years. Dec 12 -14 – we return to Live at St. Luke’s in Cork with Dowry Strings for 3 shows featuring new string arrangements of tunes from across our catalogue. Dec 20-21 – we will perform for the first time at The Helix in Dublin with Theodora Byrne and a 12 person choir. These shows will feature new vocal arrangements from across the catalogue. We are looking forward to closing out the year with you in this special way!”.
Tickets for both Cork and Dublin go on general sale on this Friday the 6th of September at 10am. Bell X1 mailing list subscribers will receive an email on Wednesday 4th of September enabling them to scoop a limited number of presale tickets on Thursday the 5th of September.
Last year Bell X1 released their 8th studio album, Merciful Hour, in May, with the single “Haint Blue” being revealed first. The ten-track album was recorded in Dublin with producer John ‘Spud’ Murphy. A project the band had been working on since 2018, and their first studio album since Arms in 2016.
