Belfast post-punk/electronic specialists Chalk have shared new single ‘Afraid’ which premiered on Huw Stephens’ BBC 6 show earlier today. The pulsating track which mixes the spirit of Underworld and Nine Inch Nails together offers a gripping glimpse into the trio’s forthcoming ‘Conditions III’ EP, set for release February 21st via Nice Swan Records (English Teacher, Sprints).
“‘Afraid’ captures the raw fear and exhilaration of stepping into the unknown, a reminder that growth only happens when you leave your comfort zone. It’s are flection on the strength it takes to move forward.”
The NI Music Prize ‘Best Live Act’ winners are set to undertake a mammoth UK/IE/EU tour this spring concluding in Dublin’s Whelan’s on April 12th.
