BAFTA Rising star nominee Jessie Buckley will bring the soundtrack from her upcoming movie Wild Rose which also stars Julie Walters and Sophie Okonedo has been winning plaudits from the likes of the Toronto International Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival.

Wild Rose tells the story of a single mother of two, fresh out of prison, bursting with raw talent, who dreams of leaving Glasgow for Nashville to make it as a country star. Buckley co-wrote much of the soundtrack with Wild Rose’s BAFTA winning writer Nicole Taylor. The Soundtrack also features covers of Country Girl by Primal Scream and Emmylou Harris’s Born To Run.

Jessie Buckley is set for co-starring roles alongside Renee Zellweger in Judy garland biopic “Judy” and “The Voyage Of Doctor Dolittle” alongside Robert Downey Jr. in 2019
