Ash at Whelans, Sunday 7th

Hitting back with their best album in yonks, Ash will somehow manage to cram their array of amazing tunes into the intimate Whelans on Sunday night. Latest album ‘Kablammo!’ sees the band adding to their already formidable arsenal of quality tracks, which includes the hits Girl From Mars, Shining Light, Oh Yeah and Burn Baby Burn. Aside from the brilliant songs, the power-packed trio have rightly earned a reputation as an extraordinary live act, and this is sure to be one hell of a show.

The Gaslight Anthem at The Olympia, Monday 8th

American rockers The Gaslight Anthem return The Olympia this Monday, supporting their fifth album ‘Get Hurt,’ which was released last year. The band – who sound sort of like what The Killers would sound like if they were raised on The Clash instead of New Order – have always been a passionate group on record, and this intensity translates to their live performances.

Lord Huron at Whelans, Saturday 6th

American folk group Lord Huron make their way to Whelans this Saturday, bringing with them their rich and vibrant sound. With an eclectic collection of instruments, the band bolster the soft guitars with electronics, complex percussion and some fine harmonies. How they incorporate all these qualities into a live performance should be interesting to witness.
