Hey guys, if your reading this your one of the first to hear about the brand new award night which will be put together and hosted by the Irish music blogging network.
Contrary to what some might think, nobody considers the other blogs rivals of any type and infact most have become good friends over the past year and as such with each blog being a link in the Irish music promotion chain it was an idea mooted by the ever intelligent Peter Nagle of 2uibestow who pitched the idea to myself, Ronan Hunt-Murphy (Swear I’m Not Paul) and Nay McArdle (Harmless Noise) from there we got onto every other Irish blogger currently on our radar and asked them if they would like to be involved, pretty soon we had an all encompassing network to judge this crazy idea.
So www.digitalsocketawards.com is our digital home for the awards which will take place in The Grand Social in Dublin on February 3rd. Details about tickets will be released in due time but for now we are looking for YOU, the public to come forward and nominate your favourite Irish acts of 2010.
If you would like to play your part in helping us decide the top Irish acts in 2010 then now is your chance to do it. We will be running the nominations until December 22nd. Please get in there, make your vote count as the shortlists will be compiled by the Irish bloggers from the public supplied long list.
