Alas, January is almost over which can only mean that this unusually quiet spell in gig circles is thankfully coming to an end. As we love an auld sporadic outing, this week we’re looking to the West, as And So I Watch You From Afar have announced a last minute gig over in The Roisin Dubh in Galway. The gig is on Thursday with support from Spies and Girl Band. Tickets are €16 and still available. Definitely one to get to if you can because we’re hearing awesome things about their forthcoming album, ‘All Hail Bright Futures’, which is set for release in March.
One of Nashville’s finest exports Old Crow Medicine Show are playing Vicar Street on Wednesday. Tickets are €26 and still available.
Meanwhile Thursday night has something for everyone. Ms Aimee Mann will be rocking down in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre. Tickets for that one are €34 and still available. There’ll be lots of Mammies down in The O2 for a glimpse of Donny and Marie. Tickets are a bit steep at €91 and still available. The Voice champion Pat Byrne is playing Vicar Street. Tickets are €22.90 and still available.
Rounding your weekend off on Sunday night, Martha Wainwright is playing to a sold out Pepper Canister Church. Those with tickets are definitely in for a treat.
