Amy Montgomery has been nominated for not one, but two NI Music Prize awards ahead of her Dublin show in Whelan’s later this month.

The Limavady blue-rock singer has been touring heavily outside of Ireland for some time now, drawing crowds of circa 7,000 people at festivals such as Glastonbury and the Cambridge Folk Festival.

She has been nominated for the Oh Yeah Contender Award and Best Single. The winner of the Oh Yeah Contender Award receives amongst other things €1,000. Electro-tinged singer-songwriter Roe picked up this award in 2018 and certainly made best use of the benefits.

Montgomery is also nominated for Best Single for her track Tree Song (Branch Out & Nourish My Friends)
