Africa Day 2012 falls this Friday 25th May and to celebrate it there will be a big fun filled event taking place on George’s Dock / Custom House Quay in Dublin on both Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May.

There will be a diverse set of events including spoken word, African Bazaar, Kids’ Corner, Workshops, Exhibitions, Book Club and of course, some great live music. On the music side of things there will be traditional African singing and dancing, hip hop sections featuring sounds from the continent. Drumming workshops from Congo’s Niwel Tsumbu.

You can also expect music from The Amazing Few, Katie and the Carnival, Gypsy Rebel Rabble, Fox.E and the Good Hands, The Radioactive Grandma and Witchseason.

All this from 12pm – 7pm both days.
