8Radio.com returns to FM to bring Indie Radio back to the masses in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway this June!

8Radio.com will return to the FM dial from June 3rd in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway. The Dublin-based alternative music radio station will be ‘Playing the Music We Like’ for five 3-day weekends from June 3rd to July 3rd as well as continuing to broadcast online 24/7.

Over the last 24 months of global turmoil, 8Radio.com didn’t miss a beat and continued to broadcast online, seamlessly moving from one central Dublin studio to remote locations in attics and spare rooms across the country. Now, housed in new studios on Dawson Street in Dublin city centre and with a bunch of new recruits added to its presenter roster, 8Radio aims to celebrate the return of live music and Independent artists with its latest run of FM weekends.

8Radio.com has since its launch been particularly proud of the support that it has given artists who are generally given very little support by daytime radio in Ireland. The station boasts an impressive schedule of shows ranging from their 8radio Daytime offerings to the wonderful specialist shows they broadcast every evening and all through the weekend, including contributions from GoldenPlec’s own Stephen Byrne and John Loftus.

8radio.com continues to work closely with venues and promoters all around the country, particularly that with title sponsor Whelan’s Live Music Venue, who have helped us to discover and assist hundreds of new and aspiring Indie acts since the station went live in 2013.  8Radio.com aims to add to and expand these partnerships during 2022 and beyond.
