Following a bumper year which has found them gain over 20 million streams, Indie-electronic band 49th & Main have shared their 4th and final single of 2024, ‘So Low’, via Counter Records (Ninja Tune).
The track gives that familiar ‘where does time go’ feeling a makeover with an added twist of Sunday Morning Coming Down. “The sentiment behind the track is love, life, and partying. How weeks really start to merge just because the precious weekend passes by fast. It seems like we’ve started to notice the weekends go faster and faster as we’ve grown older. I would describe the track as how you feel on a Sunday, if you’ve had a good weekend.”
“So low is actually one of our oldest tracks. It’s one we’ve always had in the running but just the pieces came together quite slowly for it, we knew it was a strong sound and very much a song we didn’t want to get wrong.”
49th & Main undertake their biggest UK tour to date next month, before returning home to play their biggest Irish show to date in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre which sold out in under two weeks. That massive show will be followed by their first ever North American tour (details below).
