Following on from yesterday’s list of Irish acts to catch at All Together Now, we’ve compiled a list of 10 international acts you should check out this weekend in Waterford.
Wet Leg
Wet Leg delivered an absolutely blistering set at Glastonbury and we are sure they will do the same at All Together Now. Expect to be bopping uncontrollably to their infectious punk-pop belters at the ATN Main Stage on Friday night.
John Grant
It’s only right to consider John Grant the 21st century’s leading winsome troubadour, his heartful voice marries with absolute music majesty to truly sublime effect. Fingers crossed that we will also be treated to an appearance from the GMF alongside our own darling CMAT too! But first he has his own duties to perform on the Something Kind of Wonderful stage on Saturday evening.
Nilüfer Yanya
Polished perfection, Nilüfer Yanya has really matured as an artist in the last year, particularly on the back of her latest album ‘My Method Actor’ released earlier this year, which combines deeper themes with a willingness to push her musical experimentation. She even has Irish roots! Catch her on the Lovely Days stage on Sunday evening.
Flight Facilities
Australian producers of classy and dreamy pop Flight Facilities are sure to transform the All Together Now bandstand into the coolest club in the land late on Friday night.
Arooj Altab
If you’re looking to make a musical discovery this weekend then Arooj Altab might just be the act to check out. The Pakistani-American singer and composer from Lahore combines an eclectic sonic tapestry of innovative and ambient textures with lyrics dripping in introspection to stunning effect. It promises to be a captivating set early on Saturday evening on the Something Kind of Wonderful stage.
Hinds
A good time is sure to be had with these Spanish purveyors of energetic garage rock. Irresistible indie gems abound, so the odds are that the Lovely Days stage will host the first festival sing-along set of the weekend early on Friday evening.
Fat Dog
Chaos and invention are just two of the elements that makes a Fat Dog live performance unmissable, not to mention their bemasked drummer ‘Doghead’ ! The London quintet are set to bring their hyper-eclectic frenetic show to the Lovely Days stage late on Saturday night.
London Grammar
Saturday night at the ATN Main Stage is set to be something quite special with Hannah Reid’s hauntingly distinctive vocals drifting into the star-filled Waterford skies. Dramatic set design and their atmospheric ethereal anthems will certainly make for a compelling amalgam not to be missed.
English Teacher
Winning the 2024 Mercury Prize for their debut album This Could Be Texas propelled English Teacher firmly into the spotlight. Their vibrant, high-energy performances have since earned them a rapidly growing fanbase—many of whom will be gathering at the Something Kind of Wonderful stage on Sunday evening to soak up the fun.
Bob Vylan
If people didn’t know who Bob Vylan was before their Glastonbury performance they surely do now. It’s certain that their Waterford appearance will attract both the curious and avid fans to the Something Kind of Wonderful stage on Sunday evening, neither will be disappointed.
