One Direction have become the fourteenth music act to reach the milestone of one billion plays on music streaming site Spotify, joining the like of Katy Perry, Beyonce and Rhianna in this elite billion club.
There’s no accounting for taste though with the likes of Pitbull, Imagine Dragons and David Guetta also making the list. Probably most surprising of all however, is the fact that Eminem is the most streamed artist in Spotify history.
One direction look set to climb higher up the list though with the release of their new album ‘Four’ set to yield them millions of more streams in the coming months.
