It’s nearly GoldenPlec’s 12th birthday. Wow how time has flown. We’re working hard on getting the new version of our site live and running but to celebrate our 12th birthday we have decided to bring back the social media fun that is #MyBirthdayYourPresents. Celebrate GP turning 12 all day on August 1st 2014 on our Twitter and Facebook.
For those who didn’t get involved last year, it’s really simple. We tweet out a prize with a a set numbers of Retweets (Twitter) or comments (Facebook) and the first X to retweet or comment are in the draw for the prize. We’ve been known to be a bit lenient, mostly because we want everyone to have fun, so if we ask for the first 25 retweets and you’re 26th or 27th, we most likely will include you in the draw.
Prizes will be tweeted out regularly through the day. Only Retweets are entries, on Facebook only comments are entries. This year we are partnering with Parcel Motel to deliver our massive collection of CD’s, Vinyls, T-shirts and more that we have gathered up through our amazing friends in PR and promotion including CD’s and Vinyl from Warner Music, Sony Music and Universal music. We’ve got some band merchandise, we’ve got some Molson Canadian beer, 6 months of HB ice cream, a Nando’s voucher, gig tickets for shows all over Ireland, from amazing small shows to some of the big shows happening in the coming months. We’ve got two Nokia Lumia Phones, some music DVD’s. We’re literally overloaded with great prizes. ALL WINNERS must be in Ireland. We’ll be shipping all physical prizes through the brilliant Parcel Motel service. Where you sign up on their website for an account and you receive a text when your prize arrives at your chosen Parcel Motel and you can collect it 24 hours a day. It’s convenience of the highest order, so we would urge all our readers to sign up on Parcel Motel to make a prize winning process really smooth. It’s a service you will find yourself using time and again, particularly the brilliant option to order something that will only ship in the UK, to the Parcel Motel Belfast address and put your Parcel Motel ID in the address to have it redirected down to the Republic of Ireland to your local Parcel Motel location.
