Slider1_1566_635193320128580726So today we announced the Jameson St. Patricks Day events with White Lies, Funeral Suits and Darling. A great lineup of bands, sure to be a class night out.

The part that struck us most was the return to use in the live setting of The Ambassador Theatre. Years ago many a gig was caught by the team over here in GoldenPlec towers in the confines of The Ambassador. The likes of Mercury Rev, Tenacious D, The Revs, Lemon Jelly and more. It certainly holds a place in the heart for our youth. It has disappeared into dis-use, used purely for things like Santa’s wonderland, the human body exhibition and apparently a library for books from the library in the ilac, which didn’t have enough space.

So we wonder if people think there are enough venues in Dublin to handle the gigs that come here, or would they like to see another venue with the capacity akin to The Olympia Theatre return to host more gigs.
