Kodaline go back to school By Sean Smyth (20-3-13)-11Kodaline are teaming up with Irish video technology company FanFootage to capture one song from the Kodaline show at The O2 on Sunday from the fans perspective.

Kodaline and FanFootage will be asking you to take out your phones for one song during the set and to record it in its entirety on your phone. There is a FanFootage app on both iPhone and Android so grab the app before the show and when the band ask you to whip your phone out, record the song.

You can then enjoy the rest of the show knowing you’ve one great song recorded for yourself, you’re helping to create a brilliant fan video and can enjoy the rest of the show via the technology of your eyes. Using the FanFootage iPhone and Android apps fans can upload easily. Once uploaded the videos are automatically synced with the live audio recording of the song, so they will all sound great.

Commenting today in advance of this weekends gig, CEO Cathal Furey said ‘We are delighted to be partnering with Kodaline, our video platform allows artists and musicians to turn the whole crowd at a concert into their own video crew. It means artists can compile video recordings of their concert, from every angle possible, into one place. We solve the fan filming problem and it connects bands with their fans through creative technology.

Our users have really responded to our product and the idea that they can help document a bands performance and that their footage could be used and credited in the official live video by the artist really resonates with them. As an Irish company, working with talented musicians like Kodaline and some of the world’s biggest names, we’re looking forward to developing and growing our technology on a global scale.
