Goth-rock icon Wayne Hussey (The Mission; The Sisters of Mercy) is set to play his debut Irish solo show at The Button Factory, Dublin on 12th November, following the release of his new solo album, ‘Songs Of Candlelight & Razorblades’ in September.

Best known as the lead singer of The Mission, and formerly guitarist with The Sisters of Mercy, Hussey came to global prominence in the late ’80s and early ’90s, enjoying album sales in excess of four million worldwide with The Mission, who had an unbroken run of 14 UK Top 40 singles between notable albums such as ‘God’s Own Medicine’ and ‘Carved In Sand’ amongst others.

Wayne’s solo show resembles a spontaneous sing-along. The set list is largely dictated by the involvement of the audience, and will usually consist of new, intimate readings of ‘classic’ and lesser known Mission songs, a smorgasbord of entertaining cover versions, and brand new songs.
