Kicking Bird - Forever and a Day | GP Video

Here at GoldenPlec we’re well into the age of bitter cynicism and, as a result, long past believing in magic. Nonetheless, when we rushed Kicking Bird straight off the Faerie Field stage at KnockanStockan down to Blessington lake to perform a song for us there was certainly something in the air. For one thing, the rainy day finally gave way when the Dublin four-piece stepped onto the stage, and despite a re-emergence as we waited for their gear to be collected, the sun burst through again once we reached the lake.

On top of this, the band performed one of the sunniest pop songs we heard all weekend, so the crew and the few chancers who sneaked down with us to see the private show we had organised really did get to experience one of the musical highlights of the weekend. The track is called ‘Forever and a Day’ and it’s just a taste of how good this band is.

Kicking Bird have also just been announced to play our next #GoldenBeck gig on Thursday 21st August at The Workmans Club, along with I Have a Tribe and Wyvern Lingo. Click on the photo below for more information.
