Workshop: Tuesday 6 June at TU Dublin, Grangegorman

The collaboration between pianist and singer is one of the key building blocks in the professional development of opera artists and duo performers. This one-day introductory course is designed to give advanced pianists and singers opportunities to develop collaborative skills and discuss industry experience.

The day includes a masterclass with guest repetiteur Brenda Hurley (Head of Opera, Royal Academy of Music (UK)), performance opportunities, and a roundtable discussion with Fergus Sheil (Artistic Director, Irish National Opera). Part of INO’s drive to develop specialist skills amongst locally-based artists, participants will be considered for the inaugural INO Repetiteur Scholarship.

Pianists wishing to take part as performing participants should have reached a minimum of Diploma level.  Singers should have at least three years of suitable experience.

Applications from pianists/singers to participate close on Friday 28 April – further details here

Fees: €80 (participants) / €30 (observers)
