Here at GoldenPlec, a charity close to our hearts and minds is the Musical Youth Foundation. If you haven’t heard of it, we emplore you to click the link and check it out.

For years they have been helping champion changing lives through music. They aim to provide every child on the island of Ireland with access to a musical education and learn an instrument. Learning an instrument has had proven positive effects on a childs ability to also focus better on school related study, giving a double win.

Ticketmaster – which has joined the Foundation’s Champions of Music Education project – also purchased two hand-crafted Instrumental Art guitars from the charity. The Musical Youth Foundation is looking for 300 “Champions Of Music” to donate €500 each to help change the lives of vulnerable children.

Mr Paul Skeffington, Head of Business Development, Ticketmaster, said: “Ticketmaster is delighted to be able to support the Musical Youth Foundation in this very practical way. The Foundation’s work with children, is very important and we are very happy to partner with them in this exciting project.”

Ticketmaster Managing Director, Mr Keith English, said: “We would encourage other businesses to get involved with this very worthwhile project.”

Musical Youth Foundation CEO and Founder, Mr Chris Maher, said: “The Musical Youth Foundation children’s charity is thrilled to welcome Ticketmaster to our growing family of Music Education Champions. Our goal is to ensure children, that otherwise wouldn’t get the opportunity, will have access to life-changing music education programmes across Ireland.”
