Imagine someone actually seen your Facebook Live post, crazy right!

Well, The Academic are capitalising on the success of their Facebook Live video version of their track Bear Claws which went viral earlier this year by announcing their biggest Irish headline show to date in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens.

It’s safe to say they’ve come along way since we popped down to Mullingar Station for a photoshoot with the group for our ones-to-watch series Plec Picks in 2014. Read the interview here.

The Academic’s debut album ‘Tales From The Backseat’ featuring Bear Claws, Permanent Vacation and Why Can’t We Be Friends will be released on January 12^th 2018.

The Mullingar men will play Iveagh Gardens, Dublin Friday 20^th July 2018 (Gates 6.30pm). Tickets priced €35 go on sale Friday 1^st December at 11am through www.ticketmaster.ie & usual outlets nationwide.
