Dublin-bound Stella Donnelly has released a video for Tricks, the third single from her forthcoming debut album ‘Beware Of The Dogs’, out March 8th via Secretly Canadian.

The video is directed by fellow Aussie Julia Jacklin, who released her sublime sophomore album ‘Crushing’ on 22 February.

Tricks takes aim at racist Australian pride and the absurdity of the music industry, with Donnelly adding that it’s a “loose dig at the morons that used to yell shit at me when I played cover gigs on Sunday afternoons”.

“I wanted to have a dancer in the style of an Australia’s Tap Dogs following Stella around Melbourne and trying to get her attention as she goes about her day. Is he real? Is he in her imagination? Not sure,” said Jacklin.

Stella plays The Grand Social, Dublin on April 29th with tickets priced €15 on sale here.
