Rough Trade released their top 100 Albums of 2018 today, with Shame’s ‘Songs of Praise’ being crowned Top of the Pops, pipping Everything is Recorded’s self-titled release and Idles’ ‘Joy As An Act of Resistance’ to the top spot.
The only Irish album to make the grade was Villagers’ ‘The Art of Pretending To Swim’ which ranked 95th on the list. This must surely install Conor O’Brien’s outfit as favourites to pick up the Choice Music Prize in March.
